Veneers

Veneers for a great smile

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded directly onto your existing teeth. They resemble enamel and are extremely “life-like,” durable, and virtually resistant to staining. We also offer Lumineers, which are extremely thin veneers, the thickness of a contact lens, which require no preparation of your existing teeth.

Laser

Logo-Versawave-Low-Res-GIF-Oct-2013

One of the most popular ways to remove caries today is with the use of our Versawave Erbium-Yag Laser. It is a hard/soft tissue laser that can effectively remove decay without the use of anesthetic. Used primarily for our pediatric patients, it can selectively be used on certain adults also. The primary benefits are to ease anxiety for patients that are reluctant to get anesthetized and that don’t want the “numb” feeling. There are no contraindications and patients do not have to wait to eat or drink.

Botox

botox

BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your provider will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting up to 4 months.

Invisalign Clear Aligners

adv-pod

Invisalign is an orthodontic device that uses transparent, incremental aligners to adjust teeth as an alternative to wire braces. It is manufactured by Align Technology, a multinational medical device company headquartered in San Jose, California. The Invisalign treatment process involves taking a mold of the patient’s teeth that is scanned in order to create a computerized model. Using the orthodontist’s treatment plan, the computer model creates stages between the current and desired teeth positions that are used to create molds for individual aligners.

Nitrous Oxide

Commonly known as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is a safe form of inhalation sedation. Used in combination with oxygen, it is administered thru a scented nosepiece. Onset is rapid and effects dissipate quickly when it is removed. There are no contraindications other than if you have breathing difficulties or are pregnant.

Bleaching

Dramatically whitens teeth

Bleaching of discolored teeth is a safe, cost-effective treatment that can easily brighten your smile. We offer a variety of solutions depending on the severity of your case from the one hour Tres White disposable trays to the Advanced Zoom Whitening System. Zoom is a chair-side procedure in which a bleaching gel is placed on your teeth and a bright light activates the solution, lightening your teeth an average of 8 shades in less than 2 hours. It is ideal for patients wanting immediate results.

Digital Radiography

Digital x-rays are a precise way to take images of your teeth so that we can accurately assess your dental health. They can be enlarged on a large computer monitor so that we can visually examine every aspect and detect any abnormalities. The exposure time and radiation versus regular dental film is tremendously lower thus making it safer for our patients.

Astra Tech Implants

For the convenience of our patients, our office offers complete treatment for replacing missing teeth with dental implants from start to finish without multiple trips to different doctors. We treat our patients with one of the most clinically proven and documented successful implant systems available on the market. Astra OsseoSpeed Implant System is the first and only implant with a chemically modified titanium surface that allows early bone healing that speeds up the bone healing process. The additional treatment of this implant with fluoride increases bone formation and a stronger bone/implant bond. Together with the unique MicroThread design, this product has a proven and reliable track record. For patients that have received implants elsewhere, we are highly trained and capable of completing any implant that you have had placed.

NTI Therapy

Nightguards are used in dentistry to help prevent tooth wear and jaw joint problems. The NTI (Nocturnal Trigeminal Inhibition) device is a newer type of nightguard which has been approved by the FDA to help prevent migraine headaches. It is thought that up to 80% of people clench or grind their teeth while sleeping. The NTI nightguard is worn between your front teeth at night and prevents your jaw muscles from being stressed during sleep. Many patients report waking up feeling much better with fewer headaches, less jaw muscle and joint pain, and less long-term tooth wear.

Diagnodent

The Kavo Diagnodent is a laser “cavity finder.” Utilized to pinpoint difficult caries, it is a site-specific, highly accurate way to determine if a tooth actually has a cavity. A small light wand is waved into the area and a digital reading is taken. It is a safe and easy way to make sure that we treat cavities properly before they become a serious problem.

Mini-Implant System

The Sendax Mini-Implant system consists of miniature titanium posts that are placed into the jaw, acting like the root of a tooth and a fixture is incorporated into the base of your existing denture. Placement of the implants is accomplished quickly and easily with just a small amount of local anesthetic right in our office. In less than two hours, you will leave with your denture secure and held firmly in place. With no more need to use adhesive, you can eat comfortably, have a pleasant conversation, laugh and talk with confidence. We have been utilizing this system for over 9 years with tremendous success. In certain situations, we can also use this type of implant to restore single missing teeth. For a fraction of what traditional implants cost, this is a cost-effective alternative for many patients.
